Characteristics of high Alkaline types:
Strong bones and muscles
You can have lemon or vinegar dressings without stomach upset
High energy
You feel energized after eating meats
Healthy digestion and immune function
Tendency to put on weight
High Alkaline types may need to keep some fish or other meats in their diets. They can eat white meats and fish (no more that four ounces per serving) several times a week, as well as goat cheese, yogurt, vinegar, and olive oil -basically the Mediterranean diet.

Characteristics of Acidic types:
Small bones
Acidic foods (i.e. lemons, tomatoes, and vinegar) can cause upset stomachs
Sneezing when drinking wine
Feelings of physical lethargy or mental "fogginess," after eating meats
Weak digestive track
Frequent muscle aches and pains
Feeling sluggish in the mornings
High Acidic types may increase their energy levels by sticking to a mainly vegetarian diet, and reducing meat intake to once or twice a week. Protein needs can be fulfilled through whole grains, beans, and cold water fish such as tuna or salmon.
