How did Irish Grinstead pass away? What did Irish Grinstead passed away from? – Irish Grinstead, a beloved member of the platinum-selling R&B group 702, sadly passed away in September 2023 at the age of 43. Her death was revealed by her elder sister LeMisha Grinstead in an Instagram post on September 16. Though LemMisha did not reveal the cause of death, she did indicate that Irish had been going through a long health battle. However, some sources have reported that Irish passed away from kidney failure, the same unfortunate ailment that took the life of her twin sister, Orish, back in 2008.

Grinstead and her sisters Lemisha and Orish (who tragically passed away in 2008) founded the R & B group 702, which was a popular girl group in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Born in Long Beach, California, Irish began singing in church choirs as a child. In 1998, she joined 702, along with Kameelah Williams and LeMisha Grinstead. The group released their debut album, No Doubt, the following year. The album was a commercial success, spawning the hit singles “Stepmom” and “Get It Together.”

702 went on to release five more albums, including the Grammy-nominated album Star (2002). The group also had several other hit singles, including “Where My Girls At,” “Star,” and “I Still Love You.”

Irish left 702 in 2003 to pursue a solo career. She released her debut solo album, The Life, in 2003. The album was not as commercially successful as 702’s albums, but it received positive reviews from critics.

She also appeared in several films and television shows, including The Parkers, House of Payne, and The Young and the Restless. She also had a recurring role on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
