He was featured in the documentary Hated: GG Allin and the Murder Junkies which was directed by Todd Phillips. Merle Allin also played in the punk band Thrills as well as the band Cheater Slicks. The Murder Junkies formed in 1990 and broke up in 199 before reforming in 2003. Merle Allin and his mother Arleta are the subject of a documentary film by Sami Saif that began production in 2016.
