American filmmaker, producer, and screenwriter Michael Mann has four children, Ami Canaan, Aran Reo Mann, Becca Eva Mann and Jessie Rosa Mann,
Aran Reo and Ami Mann followed in their father’s footsteps and are currently working in the film industry. Aran Reo is a Production Designer. She is known for her work on Collateral (2004), Miami Vice (2006) and Blackhat (2015).
Since writing the NYPD Blue episode “Tea and Sympathy” in 2000, Ami Canaan Mann has worked as a television and film writer. Morning, her first film as a director, earned her three awards in 2001. These included the Dahlonega International Film Festival Audience Award, the Grand Prize for best directorial debut, and the Gold Award for Independent Theatrical Feature Films – First Feature.
Texas Killing Fields, her 2011 film, screened in competition at the 68th Venice International Film Festival in September. Her romantic comedy Jackie & Ryan, starring Katherine Heigl and Ben Barnes, premiered in the Horizons section of the 71st Venice International Film Festival.
Becca Eva Mann and Jessie Rosa Mann, Michael Mann’s other children, are both accomplished artists. Becca has painted various arts and displayed them in various galleries. On the other hand, Jessie uses her photographic skills to capture the beauty surrounding her.
