Ric Flair is a former professional wrestler from the United States. Flair, regarded by many peers and journalists as the greatest professional wrestler of all time, had a 50-year career.
Ric Flair was born on February 25, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, U.S. He is 73 years old. Flair began his professional wrestling career as an amateur wrestler with Verne Gagne.
In the winter of 1971, he attended Gagne’s first wrestling camp with Greg Gagne, “Jumpin’” Jim Brunzell, The Iron Sheik, and Ken Patera at Gagne’s barn outside Minneapolis
On December 10, 1972, he made his debut in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, drawing a 10-minute draw with George “Scrap Iron” Gadaski under the ring name Ric Flair.
Flair made his first appearance in Japan in 1973 with the International Wrestling Enterprise (IWE) as part of a working agreement between the IWE and the Wrestling Federation of Japan.
WWE officially recognises Flair as a 16-time world champion (8-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, 6-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and two-time WWF Champion) though the number of his world championship reigns varies from 16 to 25.
